What Does “I Am Not the Driver” Mean? Can I Book for Someone Else?

Yes. You can make a WAHDAH booking on behalf of someone else, even if you will not be driving the vehicle.

During the booking process, simply select:

“I am not the driver for this vehicle. I am making this reservation for someone else.”

After completing the booking:

  • You will be required to provide the main driver's details and required documents.
  • The main driver must meet all applicable driver eligibility and document requirements for driving in Japan.
  • The documents will be used for verification purposes only.
  • The main driver's documents will not be saved to your account for use in future bookings.
  • The verified main driver must be present during vehicle pickup with their original required documents.

This allows you to make and pay for a reservation on behalf of a family member, friend, or another eligible driver while ensuring that the person driving the vehicle is properly verified.
