Who is permitted to drive the vehicle?

The renter and any registered additional drivers must meet the following requirements:

  • Age: Drivers must meet the minimum and maximum age requirements applicable to the selected vehicle category.
  • Valid Driving Licence: Drivers must hold a valid driving licence that is recognised for driving in Japan.
  • International Driving Permit (IDP): Where applicable, an International Driving Permit (IDP) valid for use in Japan must be presented together with the original driving licence.
  • Passport: Foreign drivers must present a valid passport for identity and licence verification.
  • Additional Drivers: Any additional driver must be registered with WAHDAH before the vehicle is picked up and must meet the same driving requirements as the primary renter.

All required driving documents must be valid and presented at the time of vehicle pickup. WAHDAH reserves the right to refuse vehicle handover if the required documents are incomplete or invalid.
